Enlarged "U" with metallic surface on the logo. Pretty cool.

Can anyone see our "Bevo" in similar metallic burnt orange?

We always hear about uniform changes and I like ours so much I'm always voting "no" on change - but I could live with a mettallic burnt orange Bevo. Might look pretty cool for us.

Can't see Saban wanting to change much with our unis, thank goodness. He hasn't really done anything with Bama's. But Patterson might push that some.

I think there will be an uproar if there are drastic changes to Texas' uniforms.

I don't recall Saban ever dealing with uniform changes at Bama. So I don't think he will deal with those at Texas.

...i'm with you my friend...

there is nothing better than the simple "silhouette" of the "texas" logo. this has been proven many times. however, many people tend to forget that it's the "players" that actually have to wear these uniforms upon the field of play.... and many of these "players" love a bit of "glamour" every now and then.

remember what everyone was thinking in regards to the prospective changes that "nike" had in store as per the "red river rivalry" uniforms.... well, everything turned out just fine didn't they.... hell, they even won the game...

I too am all for keeping our unis the same but a one or two game deal would be okay. I think the kids really get into all of that type stuff.

Maybe do a helmet similar to Miami's or flip it from storm trooper whites to one game of all burnt orange with a white longhorn on the helmet.

I only meant to take the current white helmet with the silhouette Bevo, keep it the same, but make the Bevo metallic orange. That's a pretty minimal, but high impact change, IMO.

No offense, but all orange might make me call earl.

I think we should keep our current uniforms for all games but 1 home game. We can let the players choose their design for that game each year. This would be a good compromise and would also still give the kids the fun that schools like Oregon have

Don't get me wrong, just something we'd do once a year to get the kids pumped up and to keep with the times.

Our helmet logo needs to be more durable. Too many times I've seen a horn missing or slightly misshapen-end.

Never understood why this couldn't be improved upon on.

I think back in the late 70s early 80s there were several coats of some sort of clear, glossy sealant on the helmets that kept that from happening.

The only think I dislike about the U's helmets is the slate gray spray paint on the bottom in the back. Ugly, imo.

Really starting to dislike the matte look overall.

Interesting to note the powerhouses haven't really changed their unis much:

Bama

LSU

Florida

USC

Ohio State (?)

Texas

OU

FSU

Hate to see the change but it may be coming to the Horns.

I actually like this idea too! Keep the uniforms simple and clean but wouldn't mind an alternate helmet like a chrome burnt orange.

I think the Adidas schools have worn some crazy sight for sore eyes uniforms = Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Michigan, UCLA.....YUCKY!!!!

And to boot, they are all playing mediocre!
