It's been 32 years, it happened in 1977, since the entire state of Texas has not put a team into the NCAA tournament. The only hope left is Baylor and their slim chance at an at large bid. The word I hear is they will fall on the wrong side of the line.
I think the problem is it was a bad year for basketball. There are no great teams and with the great one's going "One and Done," a down year in new talent hits all teams. Just look at Kentucky and North Carolina. Teams that usually are at the top of getting new great players are struggling to make the tournament.
Might not be the best year to judge a program, it's talent or it's coaching? One piece of good news is the tournament should be interesting and brackets will be destroyed. Since I suck at my brackets, I have a chance.
