Longhorns get pummeled by Kansas 73-47

Texas was embarrased tonight in Lawrence, to put it lightly, and they lose 73-47 to the Jayhawks. Texas shot just 21.8% , KU shot 46.4%. Now for the whopper - LOnghorns went 2-21 from the 3 point line. Yes, you read it right, 2-21 (9.5%). KU was 7-18 (38.9%).

It was a terrible shooting night for the Longhorns and Myck Kabongo led the team with 13 points.

Of the KU starting 5, all but one missed scoring double digits.

The Longhorns dropped to 3-9 in Big 12 play & 11-14 on the season.

All the optimism about Texas making a run and potentially making the NCAA tourney?

GONE. LIKE THAT.

And YES, Rick Barnes was joking around, laughing with Bill Self after this game.

Instead of punching the brick, cursing under his breath or going to get in a barfight like real coaches do after tough losses..... he's chatty-laughy-ricky barens. Joking it up.

I want a real coach. Tired of it. I also want a real basketball venue that invites students, more students and even more students.

I tried to watch part of it, I really did. It got overwhelming so I switched over to the NBA slam dunk competition for relief.

Ok, actually that sort of a lie. I did switch to the slam dunk competition, but I mostly turned to Miller Lite for relief. It certainly helped a great deal.
