This is Michael Cantu, From Moody High School;

His mom refers to him a "Little Mike", if you have seen his dad.. you would know why..

Michael comes from a family with High Morals and beliefs.. SImply put, they are fantastic people..

Also, the word is that the Younger Brother(Soph to Be) is the better athelete.

This is RHP Connor Mayes from Lake Travis.  I can see Mayes competing for one of the Weekend roation spots next spring. He has been working with Dennis Cook. Cook is the pitching coache at Lake Travis and taught Mayes how to throw the slider..

He's a low 90's type of pitcher, that has a great breaking ball..

I look for him to take over the closing duties next year..

There figures to be quite an audition for that role. If he wins the job that a serious testament to his ability.

Cantu is a big kid already. He'll naturally add some weight as he ages and gets into a college nutrition program. Hopefully he doesn't get dramatically bigger (for his knees' sake).

Ha, either one would be great.  Lots of pitching depth again next year.
