Lone Star Holy War - Upcoming Film

Boo hoo, Zierlein and Ubben.

aggie knew the repercussions for their deceit.  UT followed through on a promise.  Get over it and let me know when aggie schedules Texas Tech or Baylor and if "Lone Star Holy War" is broadcast on LHN.  It ain't worth $5 to me.

I have seen various clips clips and it seems to take a very simplistic view of things, designed to simply aggregate the talking points for and against the position of each side. I have seen nothing that leads me to believe it contains any new information or any novel analysis of either side's viewpoint.

I am struggling to understand what the point of the project was. The Texas Monthly article of 2011 seems to have discussed the matter in greater detail with deeper analysis. At the end of the day, I think all that this project will accomplish is to harden the opinions of the aggys because they will, once again, believe their feelings have been "validated" because they can point to an instance where one of their supporters was quoted in an article that was published somewhere or, in this instance, in a video production.

All in all, I am disappointed they seem to have missed an opportunity to discuss the matter with some intellectual integrity and to advance the discussion of whether the two schools should, or should not, renew the series. Maybe if they sponsor some sort of discussion round table or symposium on the subject and use that content as a companion work they might be able to increase the value of the project, but as it stands, it seems to be a weak effort in discussing the matter.
