Liberty-Eylau vs. Kaufman

I have ventured out away from the warmth of my fireplace and bourbon to make an hour trip in order to bring you coverage from this playoff game featuring Texas 2017 commit Lagaryonn Carson.  They have hot chocolate and chopped beef sandwiches in the pressbox so I've got that going for me.

Keep an eye on Malick Phillips.  He's a DB, I believe he could be number 7.

Devin Morris is a guy slightly on the radar as well.  I'd be interested to know how he looks.

Carson isn't getting much work.  They are consistently running away from him.  On 4th and 4 they ran at him with a double team and he leveraged perfectly before splitting the double and stopping the ball carrier short.  Eylau up 6-0

He had one catch on Malick for 3-4 yards. I think he has a couple tackles on defense

LE up 12-0 in a fairly uneventful game so far.  Carson has looked good when he's been called upon.  He's a force on that line.  Each drive consists of LE methodically moving the ball downfield with the run and then scoring followed by Kaufman going 3 and out.

After a muffed punt return, Kaufman gets a short field and scores.  20-8 Eylau.

We are at the half with LE up 26-8.  Post game interview is looking shaky.  Rain is coming down in sheets sideways.

LE comes out of the half and score on the strength of Ke'Mon Freeman who has 217 yards on the night.  Following drive, the Kaufman running back tried to stop and cut back and Carson pursuing from the backside stole his soul.

Lagaryonn Carson has decided if they wont come to him he will have to go to them.  He tallied 4 tackles on last drive from the backside.  Unfortunately coverage mishaps resulted in a Kaufman TD pass.  32-14 LE lead with 2:10 left in the third.
