Everyone is aware of what is happening at LSU and the possible buyout of Les Miles who has been at the program for 11 years. It got me to thinking many times on this board we discuss when do you part ways with a Head Coach who has been successful. Most on here will tell you that we should have parted ways with Mack several years ago to avoid where the program is right now. I wonder if this might be what LSU fans and BMD are trying to avoid. I know Les has won 77% of his games but he does seem to be on a downward trend for the ones that matter. He has a top 5 recruiting class for this year but so did Mack. We all can name programs where a succssful Head Coach was allowed to stay much longer than they should have been and before I criticize the fans of LSU should we consider that they are being proactive for the good of the program. Just something to consider and maybe discuss. ( I also will say that Saban envy probably is a big factor in all of this but hey any school can be happy winning games, top programs are about winning championships)
