well, who quits right now without some sort of back story?  

something is amiss, that's pretty much guaranteed.  recruiting, academic cheating, philandering, cheating on expense reports, flashing one's ass at a titty bar in south beach, sexual improprieties with coeds/coworkers--there's a lot of intriguing possibilities--and with a name like Joker, anything's possible.  The abruptness of the move suggests something that required an instant hatchet job and not something borderline.

Note that they didn't retract the recruiting improprieties, only that WM forced him to resign. 

It's all in how you manage the message. Looks like he was photographed with a recruit during the dead period.
