Just got the following from UT:

Longhorn senior WR Jaxon Shipley sustained a head injury during the BYU game and is questionable for Saturday's game with UCLA. "Jaxon is being evaluated, treated and is currently going through our rigorous return to play protocols," Texas Head Athletic Trainer for Football Anthony Pass said.

Clearly I left Austin a day too early.  :D

Holy shit. We seriously don't need to lose anyone else, especially on offense. We may be waving a white flag out there before long.

Jaxon is doing the standard test and protocol for these injuries. I suspect he will still play Saturday.

I saw when this happened. I thought it should have been a penalty b/c the defender led with his helmet and popped Ship in his helmet. Don't know why it wasn't called, but we all saw it.

Yes, he did.  There were a couple of those that the officials didn't call.  They should not be laying off of those this year, yet they seem to be.

Strange isn't it?  We get the new, high tech helmets, and suddenly, guys are being hit with concussions.  Maybe this should be evaluated.

I guess our young receivers will have to step up. If we can get the ball to JW in space I think he can be a playmaker. We also need th get the tightends involved
