Just curious if any one has heard how Jarrod Heard is progressing as a receiver and if he will see much playing time on offense this coming fall.

Read this over at Texas Football Brainiacs:

The first name that popped mentioned by one source was, “Jerrod Heard. Looks like a real WR this year, catching everything.â€. That continues to go with what we’ve been hearing on Heard in terms of him taking the next step in his transition from QB to WR. He’s one of the guys battling for the outside WR spot opposite Collin Johnson.

I thought I read that he was running with the 1st team

Running with the 1s and Herman been speaking highly of him in interviews. What a athlete, recruited as D1 QB and can switch to X and still D1 Caliber

Other posters beat me to it already, but Heard has been getting reps with the ones and is expected to be a big contributor this year. As things sit right now, Heard and Collin Johnson would man the outside receiver spots.

Glad to hear all the positive things with Heard and looking forward to seeing what he can do as a receiver .  I think he is a threat to score every time he touches the ball and has a little space to move.
