Jameis Winston to texas

im behind on the times my bad, just saw it and thought it was funny considering fisher has never mentioned coming here.

Texas is already going to be seen as a deep pocket pariah if they hire away Fisher. Poaching a coach and a Heisman winner would take it to a whole new level.

...let us please not entertain this...
its a pipe dream monarch I know, just trying to change the subject from strong and briles and what if and what was.

Atleast this was something said in public and on record.

Winston will take off to the NFL after next year
he would be crazy not to, I didn't say the quote just wondering how people felt about it.

I only posted it because why would he even come out and say that it doesn't make sense.

I am not sure of all the legalities and a *very* quick search finds an ESPN article (written in Sep 2013) claiming that transfer rules could be changing as early as this year. It's in their basketball section and I have no idea if there are different rules per each sport.

Another source claims that an athlete can transfer whenever they wish, but would have to foot their own college bill for a year.

It seems that a school can refuse a transfer outright, or even just to specific schools, only to deny the transferee a scholarship. While they can't force anyone to stay, they can make it painful to those who would require a scholarship.

Does anyone know the actual rules? While I would not be in favor of this particular situation, I am curious as to how it would work if attempted.

I played golf for a D1 university. We won conference my Freshman, coach left for a better job and wanted me to come with him. I did, and previous school wouldn't release me, forcing me to sit out a year with zero funding from new school. I used it as my redshirt year and had to foot the whole bill.
