Hello Baseball Fans!  The time is almost here.

Saturday, at DFF, the annual UT Alumni Game will take place.  First pitch is currently scheduled for 3:30 PM.

The game is scheduled to be broadcast live on LHN.  I will dust off the ol' keyboard and have the game Play-by-Play right here on HornSports.

Scheduled to appear on the alumni side:

Kirby Bellow (pitcher, Arizona Diamondbacks)

John Curtiss (pitcher, Minnesota Twins)

Parker French (pitcher, Colorado Rockies)

Ben Johnson (outfielder, Kansas City Royals)

Taylor Jungmann (pitcher, Milwaukee Brewers)

Kevin Keyes (outfielder, Washington Nationals)

Corey Knebel (pitcher, Milwaukee Brewers)

Brooks Marlow (infielder, Houston Astros)

Andrew McKirahan (pitcher, Atlanta Braves)

Dillon Peters (pitcher, Miami Marlins)

Cameron Rupp (catcher, Philadelphia Phillies)

Sam Stafford (pitcher, Texas Rangers)

Huston Street (pitcher, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim)

Drew Stubbs (outfielder, Texas Rangers)

Erich Weiss (infielder, Pittsburgh Pirates)

I'm already rescheduling my Saturday activities to watch.  Join in the discussion here.  We'd love to have ya.  Hook Em!

Are you going to be in Austin? I'd like to meet you.
Not this time, Duke.  I may make it in later in the season for a series though.  I'll let you know.

With Cotcher out of pocket, I need to get with Aaron and see what he has planned for baseball press coverage so we can coordinate a bit.

It's baseball time in Texas. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
There's a song in there somewhere....perhaps it's written in the Baseball Hymnal.  ;)

And that's the spirit, John.

That reminds me of one of the strangest pieces of sports trivia ever. The man who wrote "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" never once saw a baseball game in person.

So it was a song about longing for something. :)
