He will likely have to play in the Summer league in Las Vegas in two weeks which is a way for him to showcase his skills to all 30 NBA teams. 

Now, he could go D-League, but he wouldn't make much (~19K) but if he goes to Europe, he could make close to a million a year. 

Again, why he went is only something Isaiah can understand but my guess is that his draft stock wasn't going to improve that much over the next year so he wanted to use the years he has left to play high-level basketball to be years he gets paid.

Best of luck to Isaiah.  He could have used another year of development under Smart but it's a done deal now.  Making it in the NBA is a tough gig - he needs to work hard on improving his shooting and range.
