Iowa State starting DE arrested

ISU defensive lineman David Irving was arrested Wednesday and charged with domestic assault with injury according to the Story County Inmate roster.

Irving, a junior, has started in eight games for the Cyclones this season. At last check of the inmate roster shortly after midnight Thursday, he was being held with no bond while awaiting trail.

ISU coach Paul Rhoads said Monday that Irving missed Saturday's game against TCU with a health issue not related to football.

Victim: David Irving punched her during domestic dispute and cut her hair w/scisscors. Parents of a minor child.

Incident happened between 2 - 4 p.m. Irving was seen at football facility at 5:30. He was booked at 10 p.m.
