I have a question regarding UT's International Relations Masters Program, family related

I have a niece that is about to get out of the Army. She is an amazing young lady and I want to help her out if possible. She is about to make SGT, has a little over 5 years in, has done a deployment to the Middle East and during this time she has found a way to finish her undergrad degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Homeland Security/Emergency Management. Oh yeah, with a 3.7 GPA. She is pretty awesome if you ask me but I am a little biased ;)

She contacted me recently asking about the Masters Program in the UT School of Govt in International Relations. She wants to apply before re-enlisting (by February) to see if she can get in. She is from Nevada but said the UT program really stood out to her, plus we live here and that was a good thing. I was able to find the basic information online, but was hoping to find someone that could help a little more.

She wants to know what kind of recommendation letters they are looking for, what kind of background, how much her military experience will help along with a host of other questions. I know what UT is looking for with Undergrad as far as admission, but I am clueless with anything beyond that. She also wants to visit and I was wondering if there is any way she could actually meet with someone up there that would show her around, maybe take the time to talk to her.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. She is exactly what any of us would want our daughters to be y'all so any way I can help her I will. She is smart, beautiful, ambitious, brave, and just an all around great woman.

I don't have any specifics on this Shambeaux, but good luck to your niece.  Sounds like a fantastic gal.
