How much of a chance does Texas have against Oregon?

IT posted their practice report today, and it sounds like things have been horrible per their sources. no energy. bad execution etc

I'd like to think Texas musters up a big effort to send Mack out a winner, but just feels like a massive beatdown

I'm not expecting much, but at the same time there's a reason they actually play the game. I'm not sure Oregon wants to be there either.

Having the same feelings Dizzzzz

There is always a chance. However, a chance doesn't make up for the lack of talent that will be on the field for Texas.

About as much of a chance as everyone gave them against Oklahoma this year I would guess. I think we have a chance in that Oregon feels they will easily beat Texas so they may have a problem getting up for the game. If we can limit turnovers we have a chance.

chance...you ask me if Texas has a chance, yes Texas has a chance....WE ARE TEXAS HOOK'EM

I have to live up here amongst the Ducks. I would LOVE to win this game. Even though we are not a top tier team this year, Oregon wins and they'll think they beat the National Champs. So I'm HOPING that we can somehow pull it off.

...actually, shouldn't this all start with the "attitude" of the current head coach. usually, the players respond to this first. and everything else comes second....

There's not a lot of positive energy from an outside perspective. Head coach leaving, assistant coaches in the air, key players ineligible.... The media likes to play it as the team's last stand for Mack and Oregon being disinterested in being in Alamo Bowl as being the key factors. The truth is we just aren't very formidable on offense with our QB limitations. I can't see us being able to score enough points, even if the defense has mild success in slowing down their offense. Say we hold them to 35 which would be great; can you see us scoring more than that in our current state? I hope for the best, but reality says we get blown out. Still will cheer and hope for the best, but won't be letdown if we loose.

If these kids play with a lot of speart, heart and want to send MB off with a big win it could happen. My friends y'all have a great week.

We're screwed.
...now now randolph duke, you sound like the "scrooge" that stole christmas...

whenever it comes to "texas" there is no "ba humbug". anything and everything is possible!

The game is tied to how our QB play goes. Feel our defense will be up to the task. Not sure our offense will show up.

I'm preparing for the worst, and hoping for the best. That's all we really can do. Either way, it's not changing the outcome come the beginning of Jan. I hope for the players sake they can get the win.

If they really want to win for Mack Brown then you would think that practices would be going smoothly.

Bowl games usually come down to which team really wants to be there vs which team had to go there to fulfill a commitment made by their school...

Honestly do the Longhorns really want to be there ? I'm not even sure our fans want to be there..As much as the team may want to send MB out a winner, they havent been able to turn the switch on by demand except for the OU game...On paper its not a good matchup of styles, and there is no incoming coach in the pressbox to play for and impress..The Horns have to find a way to slow down the track meet

If they strike first and often its OU all over again...if they get behind by two TD's early....well..not going to spell it out

If I had to put a number on it I'd say 10-15%. I don't get a feeling that the team is really focused with the academic suspensions and everything that has transpired in the last couple of weeks.
