The Texas Longhorns (0-1) and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (1-0) will meet for the first time when they face off on Saturday evening at Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin. Tulsa opened its season with a 38-27 win over FCS opponent Central Arkansas, while the Longhorns lost to Maryland 34-29 at FedExField in Landover, Maryland to open the season.

The Golden Hurricane won just two games last season and look to equal that in this young season by upsetting the Longhorns, who currently sit as a +22.5 favorite in the game. The Longhorns hope to find the win column tonight and even play up to .500 before the matchup with Top-25 ranked USC in Austin next weekend.

The weather forecast in Austin calls for a 70% chance of rain at kickoff, so expect a wet field to factor into the play-calling this evening.

Texas needs to win convincingly and look good doing it. Else Longhorn nation's angst will continue to grow.

The minimum result it will take in order for me to feel a little more at ease will be for the Horns to score 40 or more and hold Tulsa to 10 or less.

Expect Kobe Boyce to start opposite of Kris Boyd. Devante Davis is still nursing a stinger. Unclear if he will play.

Hate that I have Comcast. Trying to find a bar to watch. There is a Texas exes day watch party but it’s 1.5 hours away.

Yeah I assume we will see Davis at some point in the game unless his neck is still pretty sore or there is another injury that popped up.  He was listed as a “should play” by Herman on Thursday.

Eastern Michigan just beat Purdue. Hello Rondale Moore.

Honestly, Texas needs to be up 21-3 or 28-7 at halftime at a minimum.  This needs to be a resounding victory.  Also, I'd like to see a little Anthiny Cook at CB this game.  Want to see what he has as a cover corner.

I was channel surfing earlier an checked out Colorado-Nebraska for a few minutes....... it made me miss the old Big Twelve.  :(
