The Texas Longhorns won 12 in a row against the Baylor Bears from 1998-2009.  Since that time, the Baylor program has taken 5 of 11 games from the Longhorns, many of them in lopsided victories.  Both programs have new head coaches.  Steve Sarkisian is learning his players and their strengths in his first year in Austin, while Dave Aranda has the Bears already bowl eligible through seven games in his second season in Waco.

Saturday marks the fifth straight early kickoff for Texas, in a game that can make or break a season for both programs.  A loss for Texas leaves Sarkisian's team sitting at .500 overall and 2-3 in conference play.  A loss for Baylor drops their hopes of a Big 12 Championship appearance with the meat of their Big 12 schedule still remaining.

The stakes are high in Waco for Baylor and Texas, but more so for the Longhorns who need a win to avoid dropping three straight with another road game against a ranked Iowa State team looming next week.

In all of my years watching UT Football I have never felt that winning was almost hopeless.....till now. Other teams come from nowhere in just a season or 2 while UT seems is stuck on a treadmill of mediocrity. A loss today and I'll just want the season to end............once again. I used to feel that there was always a chance, but no longer. Please show me I'm wrong by winning today.

BJ Foster's Interception sets up a Casey Thompson TD Pass to Joshua Moore.  Longhorns lead Bears 7-0, 12:34 remaining Q1

Hope everyone took the over because we’ll probably never get them stopped

Baylor's Tyquan Thornton hits RJ Sneed in the end zone and Baylor ties it up at 7-7.  Bears drove 75 yards downfield and moved the ball at-will on that drive.

I really can't stand this type of defense..a keep everything in front of you, but give up easy plays.  Puts too much pressure and fatigue on the defense.

It looks like they have 13 on defense and we have 9 on offense……reverse when they have the ball.

Delay penalty right after a kick is very Charlie’ish.  Your offense should be ready to go.  Long developing plays don’t work with this OL

Too much cushion by the corners.

schooler shouldn’t get any time and he starts

Look at that awesome OL play, creating holes, giving time for the QB to read the field.... for Baylor.

Just once I wish I could say that about the Horns. Ugh.

BU kicks a 38 yard FG to take a 10-7 lead over Texas, :56 remaining Q1.  Moral victory there by the Teas defense to hold the Bears to just 3.

Bomb to Worthy 64yd's. We ride! Casey's hand seems OK. Got rid of the ball fast.
