SignUp Now!I think this team overperformed in the early to middle part of the season. They won a lot of games that we should have lost. Something crazy like 20+ come from behind wins. That got us to #1 overall and raised the expectation of this team quite a bit. This team has pissed away a successful season in the last three weeks.

We came back to earth a bit and injuries to our top pitcher and hitter didn't help.
That early success put us in a very winnable position in the post-season and we should have been able to win this regional. So, I think it's both at the same time. Disappointing to lose like this but also a season where we did better than expected.
Not certain about either of those. I won't be surprised if they get swept by either UCLA or UC Irvine. We gave them way to many "free passes" whether error( just because something wasn't an error but bad fielding it counts the same), HBP, or walk and they took advantage to get scores off those. We left 14 on base on Saturday night and another 10 on Sunday night. While having 12 strikeouts on Saturday and another 11 on Sunday night. We should've blown these guys out. The question is do we have the players with the ability to block out the mental weakness that this team had. Gasparino seemed to not be focused for a month plus. Flores seemed more concerned with the draft status. Is the UTSA team just peaking at the right time? Are they loaded with upper clansmen?
