I know some of y'all enter the stadium via this route, so I thought you should read this from UT.....
Football gameday traffic changes effective Oct. 4
Pedestrians regulated to sidewalk on San Jacinto Blvd. between MLK Blvd. and 21st St.
AUSTIN, Texas -- As a safety measure for Texas Football home games, pedestrian traffic on San Jacinto Blvd. (between MLK Blvd. and 21st St.) will be moved off the street and onto the sidewalk two hours prior to kickoff. These changes are effective beginning Saturday, Oct. 4.
Gameday personnel will clear the street and direct fans to the sidewalk two hours prior to kickoff. Signs will also be posted in the area informing fans of the change.
Only cars with a street parking permit for San Jacinto Blvd. are allowed to enter the street from MLK Blvd. on gameday. Fans with reserved parking on San Jacinto are not allowed to tailgate on the sidewalk. Anyone walking from the Brazos Garage to the stadium across Clark Field will be directed to the sidewalk upon reaching San Jacinto.
Following the conclusion of the game, fans leaving the stadium will be allowed in the street for 20 minutes. After that time, personnel will direct pedestrians to the sidewalk in order to clear the street for vehicle traffic.
