Texas commits head into State Semi Final round
And then there were three.
Three Texas commits remain in contention for the big prize, the state championship. Cameron Dicker, the kicker for Lake Travis; B.J. Foster, the do it all player for Angleton; and Keaontay Ingram, the workhorse tailback for Carthage, all walked away winners in the state regional finals last week.
Texas already has one state champion commit, from Kentucky, in Rondale Moore who was also named Kentucky’s “Mr Football” last week.
Now, in the state semifinals, everything gets a bit more difficult and complicated. Foster could be playing in the state’s best contest this week when he and his Wildcat team mates take on Manvel in NRG Stadium. The amount of talent on the field will be staggering.
Ingram and his Bulldogs will meet undefeated LaVega at the Ford Center in Frisco. And Dicker and the Cavaliers will take on powerful Katy in the Alamodome.
Keep an eye on the Boling vs Newton game in Porter. Boling Do-it-all Vernon Jackson, a Texas target, had the mother of all nights last week when he racked up 418 yards on 36 carries and five touchdowns.
