Friday Night HS Updates

So what's the deal with Cammas? It's them and then everyone else? They sound like a juggernaut.

Camas has become a force the last three-four years. Jumped up to Class 4A last year after going to State Semis in Class 3A, and lost in the state finals. This year, lost the bulk of our starters, and reloaded with a really good Jr class. They're young, but they are well coached and have already beat the team they lost to in the State Finals and the team they beat in the State Semis last year, in their first two games. Several kids from last season went on to play college ball. Really good program.

Katy got whooped by The Woodlands ? RB we are supposed to get must not be all that. Surely The Woodlands can't have that great a defense ? ( just judging by their baseball team I saw at State last year. )

[Aaron Carrara]

Kyle Porter averaged the same # of yard per carry as Rodney Anderson (2015 OU commit) did last night in Katy's loss to the Woodlands (4.5 ypc).  He's just a junior while Anderson, a senior, did receive the majority of the carries.

Porter is a legit RB but it was surprising a top 5 state program lost to one that is ranked 78th.
