They don't have all the numbers, of course, so a lot of guessing is involved.
In any event, the top three most valuable franchises in the world are all soccer teams--
Real Madrid $3.44 billion.
Barcelona at $3.2 billion
Manchester United at $2.81 billion
4. New York Yankees -- $2.5 billion (MLB’s most valuable franchise)
5. Dallas Cowboys – $2.3 billion
8. New England Patriots – $1.8 billion
9. Washington Redskins – $1.7 billion
10. New York Giants – $1.55 billion
12. Houston Texans - $1.45B
13. Knicks $1.4B (NBA’s most valued franchise).
27. Toronto Maple Leafs -- $1.15B (NHL’s most valuable franchise) .
The Los Angeles Clippers did not make the top 50 most valuable franchises even though they are expected to be bought for $2 billion (the equivalent of the Dodgers) -- is this an indication that everything is undervalued?
