On live television tonight, DeSoto running back Dontre Wilson choose to play college football at Ohio State, over The University of Oregon and THE University of Texas.

Wilson mentioned Urban Meyer said he will see a lot of "PT" next season including a lot of PT on special teams.

Ohio State nabbed a good one.

Does anyone ever think the kid wanted out of the state of Texas?..First Oregon that's nearly 3K miles away and now OSU that's about 1.5k away.

I got some further info on Wilson. Seems he was promised quick PT with Meyer at OSU. Some past recruits said Urban was a snake oil salesman and a liar. He filled his rosters by promising playing time that seldom materialized.

Another story had Wilson skeptical of Texas because how Harsin, the gift that keeps on giving, did not use his fastest players for long stretches. Did Mack not think these guys he is recruiting would notice?

Even Major's promotion was not enough to convince Wilson. He believed the liar Meyers and didn't believe Texas. Now he's gone.

Damn I hate to always disagree but Texas was never in on Billings. When he set up the announcement it was at a Waco radio station. Texas was just a pretty girl he was looking at but the kid was always going to Baylor..

I think a lot of fans get all riled up by rumors and the Longhorn media. Every Texas media site, cept for this one, is a pay site and they work hard to rev up the faithful for that subscription.

You make an obvious strong point, however, since it is the very same media which lies to us also gives us facts its kinda hard to know whats legit and whats not. He was pumped up to be way more UT than he was apparently. Herron is another one that reports were great for UT for 30 mins and then went to zero. WTF. At this point I'm not sure if its people putting out knowingly bs info or these kids are actually publicly changing their minds every 5 mins.
