Disturbing Blow to Longhorn Recruiting

Knox had a lot of the diva qualities Benenoch did. Its not THAT big a deal guys, Texas produces a ton of talent each year.
Stars don't mean a thing, winning ballgames does.
Exactly. Having all the 4 and 5 stars are great to look at on paper and boast about on the message boards but when is the last time a star ranking won a football game?

I'm glad Knox is gone. Prima Donna, candy ass and by what I've gathered from reports in various places, the dude is soft. His private school competition on the LOS probably amounts to a bunch of 165 lbs kids.

Now we're talking. Not the softy shit about Knox but the idea of Texas only going after 4-star recruits. The key lies within the small schools that have FLAT OUT ATHLETES. Texas needs to recruit the grinders - the kids that are lighting up the field on Friday nights in the deepest corners of the state.... The ones that play for the love of the game and not the media attention. Schools like TCU do a good job of scouting the under the radar programs and grabbing the hungry recruits that will play lights out - but were not given a look by the larger schools.

Seems like Texas has missed the boat for a number of years with respect to this.

And for the Gresham thing - I give the kid until the end of the week before he decommits. Might not immediately commit to Ole Miss but that is where he will end up.
