A quick update on Dawson High School (Pearland, TX) Tight End Antoine Cannady....
Cannady talked with WR Coach Jay Norvell prior to Texas Relays and Norvell invited Cannady to check out a practice after he finished his runs at Texas Relays, which he did.
Antoine eventually talked with Strong who expressed an interest in Cannady's skillset as an athlete, but not as a TE or WR. The discussion revolved around Cannady's potential to play defense because of his frame (Cannady is 6-3, 220 lbs.).
He received his 4th offer today, which happens to be from a non-service academy school. He has offers from Army, Navy, Air Force and Texas Southern. And his grades are very good.
"Academics are very important to me and my family," Cannady told me today.
As far as Big 12 schools are concerned, he's received the most interest from Baylor and Texas Tech. He's also heard from Stanford.
On Texas, Cannady says "Texas is a dream school for me."
