UT closer Corey Knebel has been sent home today from Lawrence, Kansas for violation of team rules. No word on what the violation is but I am sure we will hear more soon.

Did he go Ricky Jacquez on us? What happened?

Working on getting more info but this has me really scratching my head.... He does not seem to be that type of person.. especially with this being his draft year...

Hopefully it was something minor. Post here if you hear anything

Augie is limited on what they can say but something about difference of opinion and that Knebel apologized for what happened or something. They will meet with him Monday and with coaches and team to see what can be resolved and hopefully get back to work next week...

Man, to get sent home from an away series is pretty serious. My guess is no matter what he did they will remedy it. We need Knebel like peanut butter needs jelly.

Still gathering details but heard he was sent home. Kendall Rogers reported it as well.

Knebel was suspended for the weekend by Texas after going over the line to voice his displeasure about Friday's result, a game in which he didn't appear.

Good for him. At least somebody is sick and tired of losing. Give the kid a coke, not a ticket back home.

Agreed. I think of all three of our under performing Men's sports, I'm most disappointed in Augie and the baseball program.
