Just announced on Twitter. He's out with a broken foot indefinitely. This is not good news. Ugh.

Sorry, on a mobile, but here's the quote

Texas center Cam Ridley fractured his left foot during practice Sunday. He will have surgery tomorrow and will be out indefinitely.

This definitely hurts. That means Cleare and Ibeh might get more playing time. I guess it's possible to move Lammert to Center and put in another guard/forward. That would be more like Smart's game plan from VCU.

Bad break for Cam and the Horns (sorry for the bad, unintended pun)

One day prep time is probably a little short to switch primarily to a small ball game, but I would expect to see more of that moving forward.  Time for Tevin Mack and Jordan Barnett to step up, and for Prince Ibeh to figure out how not to foul so much.  Seems like this forces a move toward more of the team that we will be next year.  Since this was supposedly a transition year anyway, taking a long view, that is not necessarily a bad thing ... if you suddenly find that you have company coming and you discover that you have an over abundance of lemons ... time to make the lemonade!  ;)

This. Cam had come into his own this year and was becoming our most dominant force on both ends. This hurts. I wish him a speedy recovery nonetheless.

I've not been impressed with Cleare so far. Ibeh simply can't do it alone because of his fouling issue. They'll have to use Lammert some in the middle.

Hopefully, we're in on some bigs in recruiting.

Losing the rebounding hurts the most. The extra five fouls helped as well, don't see Cleare and Prince playing a lot of minutes without fouling out. Mack needs to step up, "only" 6'8" but agile. Gotta outrun the opponent from here on out. BMW offense coming!
