Why would we want that, Regular season means nothing if you don't win the big game.

he is actually 2-6 but didn't coach Houston his last year in the bowl game.

I still believe he's last on Patterson's list. We keep hearing that we're gonna get a "home run" hire. Briles to me is a foul ball...maybe a single at best.

I love how people overlook what a great job he has done at Baylor. The guy would be amazing at Texas but lets just mark everyone off the list who just lost a game.

UCF has a 1st round QB but yes they played bad but the rebuilding job he has done at UH and Baylor are amazing. But people who dont understand football cant comprehend that. Logic doesnt sell here sir

great job at what playing cream puffs in non conference, then having one great year in a down big 12.

What great job? Seriously I'm not being an ass but what has he done there? His win loss record is mediocre. He made a BCS bowl this year cuz we sucked. And then lost to UCF! I'm sorry but that is not a great job.

Exactly everyone is all he is great cause he turned Baylor around, what has Baylor won.

I remember what Baylor used to be. They were the cream puff. I got to visit them my senior year and Texas beat them 60-0. They offered my buddy and he choose McNeese st over Baylor. UH was in the same boat before he got there. He lost 2 games this year at Baylor and got to a BCS game. Last season started off bad but he ended up in a bowl game after having the best team in school history that went 10-3. His QBs all perform and he has been getting better recruits yearly. I dont think yall fully understand that he is doing this at Baylor. You grade on a curve in college football because its not equal footing that these guys stand on. But hey he has a mediocre record. Well when he got to Baylor and Houston they fridge was empty but when he left Houston he left them with a team ripe with talent. Baylor right now is bringing back a good group of players and is bringing in better recruits every year. Since yall are so good at google go google some of these coaches and see where they came from and who they were before they were at these major football programs. Use some logic before you type.

The Big 12...

and if you tell me that it was a down Big 12, I will agree and say that it was a down big 12 that Texas and OU were not able to win.

Gundy is a great coach and I would be happy with him. Their is no reasoning with someone with an axe to grind but I know Im right here. Briles would dominate at Texas. Do you not understand what progress is?

While I don't doubt he would set offensive records at TEXAS. . ..our standard should be winning Natty's not pulling a Bob Stoops and getting trashed in the "finals". . .

Maybe I'm wrong but last night confirms what I always thought. .the brighter the lights. ..the more he fades. . .

PS, he does lead the nation in penalties. . .I went back and checked....9 of the last 10 National champs had half the penalties Baylor does. . .clearly just one metric but one that relates very closely to coaching IMHO.

exactly he can win all the big 12 titles he wants at texas, but if he cant win the big game who the hell cares.

His bowl record is proof
