The Longhorns are taking on the Mountaineers in Morgantown at 8:00 pm on ESPN.

WVU is a solid, top 10 ranked team with a potent scoring offense and a deep bench. Texas, on the other hand, is looking for its first win in the road this season.

The 'Horns will have their work cut out for them in tonight.

Starters for the Longhorns tonight:

Well, the Canes - Cavaliers game is finally over.

Texas off to a hot start, leading West Virginia 12-5, 15:01 left in the 1st half.

Sorry y'all - had to leave the house and come back.

Longhorns lose another road contest, 77-62.

Nothing surprising except for Huggins collapsing on the court. WV is a well tuned machine.

Allen provided what I think is the year's best dunk. Thunderous one-hander that silenced the crowd.

We have simply got to be a better team next year. Knowing you're going to lose before the opening tip pretty much sucks.

I am fighting against the urge to go complete negative on our (men's) basketball team.  I can see improvement in individual players, which gives hope for next year (primarily Allen and Jones) but as a team I just don't see it.  We are right about where we were at the very beginning of the season; which is, quite frankly, not very good at all.  Whether or not there are other circumstances... coaches take heat for this kind of season.  Shaka is safe, for now, and I STILL ultimately think he will be successful.  But next year is huge for his long term prospects at Texas.  We had better see a drastic turn around or the seat will get unbearably hot (even at a school which pays minimal attention to basketball).

In a related story, Allen's decision is absolutely huge for Texas basketball.... it could launch us really hard in two different directions (depending on what it is).
