Astros 4

KC 1

Mid 8

Keuchel pitched decent today. Wasn't as solid as he was against NYY.

Astros need to close out here and go up 2-1 in the series.

Sure could have used a run there in B8.

Still 4-1 Astros, going T9

Astros win Game 3, 4-2.

One more W to advance to ALCS.

I really like their chances to get a split from here on out. They have been amazing at home.

Now just want them to have game 1 in Arlington ;-)

I believe IF they get to the ALCS, anything can happen. They are having a bunch of fun right now. I really like the mental makeup of this bunch. They don't know they're not supposed to be here yet.

It's funny, I like to say I would rather have a "stupid" team than a smart one sometimes.

Just thrilled to be talking about Houston and the Longhorns successes on the 2nd Sunday in October. It's been too long.

Any October baseball for this team is a bonus this year.  They are in contention 1-2 years before even Astros management thought they would be.  But Luhnow had a plan and has maintained a steady course.  These are a bunch of young kids "playing" baseball and they are fun to watch.  I've said before, I hope the Longhorns follow this recipe...stock up on talent, gain experience for young players, stay the course, and become a team that is poised to seriously contend for a number of years.

Blue's zone is tight today.

In case you're wondering, game is on FS1.

Game is tied at 2 through 3 complete.

Astros take the lead in B5 on a two-out, RBI double down the RF line by Correa.  He is on fire today.

McCullers goes out to the bump to begin T6; and he deals.  3-up/3-down.  Astros lead 3-2 going B6.

New P for KC; Herrera comes in to pitch B6 for Ventura.

Astros leave 1 stranded in B6; going to T7 leading 3-2

McCullers comes back out to start the 7th, gets one out and then beans Perez.  Gore comes in to PR for Perez.

New P is Harris.  Gore steals 2B.  Harris gets a K for out #2.  Gore steals 3B, Castro throws down to 3B, and after being called safe, review of the play shows that Gore is out.  Inning is over.

Houston leads 3-2 going B7.
