Anyone watching LLWS?

I'm always interested in the local kids - particularly Pearland.  They are the Southwest representative.

Not me.  I like kids.  In fact, I like them so much I made a career out of helping them.

The umpiring annoys me. How do four ...I said four grown men lose track of the count ?? ALL umpires are supposed to keep track of the ball and strike count. Not a single one got it right, and allowed the home plate guy to ring up the TX kid with a 1-2 count...Horrible. By the way...I am an umpire. High School only.

never said i don't like kids. coached all 3 of mine in 3 different sports for i don't know how many years. loved every minute of it. 

LLWS is different. i was at a restaurant the other day and czech republic v korea was on the tv. Seriously?

Sure. I just don't care to watch them play baseball. I don't care to watch the kids in the next county play baseball. Or basketball. Or spelling bee. Don't care to watch pee-wee football either if it's not my kid.

Sorry. I've done a zillion hours of kids sports and loved it. LLWS does nothing for me.

Oh no, please forgive me.  I wasn't trying to suggest that YOU don't like kids.  I was just prefacing my own comment.

I have nothing but admiration for those that volunteer their time to help and instuct kids.

Did you coach little league baseball?

Every level from t-ball thru pony league at some point. Having 3 boys will do that. Good times. Youngest is now a senior in HS so this is my last year of 'kid' sports. Bittersweet.
