It sounds great but it's not true. I'm not going to go through each class Saban has signed, but I'm fairly certain the only way Burton Scott and Tyler Love from the 2008 class made it to the NFL was by going to a ticket window and using a credit card.

Possibly the most surprising bust was Burton Scott. The super athletic player was well suited to both wide receiver and defensive back. Scott originally played as a true freshman at wide receiver but could not translate that aestheticism to production.

Moot point and tired topic, but I believe Powers kiboshed the deal.  Patterson didn't want to deal with any Sexton clients either.

He negotiated a raise from Bama for $7.5M or so if I recall.

I think Patterson liked the clients, just not Sexton.
