Am I the only one having a problem with Hornsports?

I use Firefox and sometimes msn to navigate the net.  This is the only site I have a problem with.  It will either lock up, say the server isn't responding, take forever to open pages, etc.., etc.

Does anyone else have these kinds of problems?

Haha, in all seriousness Doc, the only problem I have is the third world country internet speed.  But I can't blame HS on that.  However, the slow internet speed may actually help me as I don't get all the pop ups that others seem to be getting.  These pop-ups could be slowing your computer if they are saving cookies (small files) to your computer when they open up.

You may want to try and clear out your cookies and see if that helps

No - at least not that I know of.

By-the-way - here is a name for you to watch - Wesley Faison.  He starts at 1st base for Travis high school in Richmond, Texas.  The kid is 15 yrs. old, stands 6'4", runs like the wind (yeah, 1st base - I know), hits for average and has super power.  In addition he is a straight A student.

Doc, I use FireFox and I sometimes have the same problems but then again I have a lot of browsers open for work/pleasure. You may need to reboot once in awhile to clear some of your memory since other apps can take it & hold it.

If you only open 1 browser at at time or have a minimum amount of browsers open, you may have memory issues which would be either some bad memory or not enough.

oh I know about him.. He also plays for the South Texas Sliders and works with Matt Pierce, Pierce runs the Slider in the Hosuton Area while Scott Mayer(Owner) and a former Longhorn Runs the Sliders in the San Antonio Area.

Also, if you look in the upper right hand corner of your Fire Fox Browser(if you are running ABP) it is a red icon. If not then I highly recommend getting the file. This file blocks all of those dang ads that pop up. This helps make the browser to run smoother.

There is a barn blazing SS on one of the Houston slider 14 year old teams (they have two), but his name escapes me.

I'm told there is a good looking future SS & pitching prospect on the 13 year old team as well - Brock I believe is his last name.

Strange to be talking about 13 and 14 year old kids, isn't it?

I do like what the parents and coaches are doing now.  Pitching prospects are not being pitched during the summer and winter.

Aaron - since I don't know why I have so much trouble with this site I can't tell how you can help.

I can say the site is SLOW most of the time.  Navigating can be exasperating.  Like the other poster said, I occasionally have trouble connecting - no matter how many times I try.

I am running Windows 8.1; and I mostly use my office PC - which is a screamer with scads of memory and disk space.  But I have the same problems with my laptop as well - and my smart phone.

I will say that my IP is ATT, but that doesn't explain why the other sites i visit are just fine and I have no problem with them.

It is a head scratcher.

I have heard this is the trend today - select type programs.  Just another way for high school coaches to make a little money on the side, IMO.

The Sliders do have a good rep for getting kids schollies to college.

I have problems with it loading slowly, and it isn't due to add on issues.  It also 'fractures' from time to time, meaning the page isn't formatted.  It is in outline form.  That doesn't happen with any other site.

I really think the problem is my server.  My computer is top notch with excess memory in each phase, and I periodically clear out the cookies.  I do think there has been some improvement with the ad reduction.

I run an iMac, and frequently run disk doctor to clean up 'permissions' (whatever that is) and verify the disk.

I also check Firefox Add-ons and Plug-in and only run those I absolutely want.

Have had no issues with this site other than more frequent and exciting threads and posts after the recruiting season is over
