6 Reasons Why Tyrone Swoopes Will Improve in 2015

Strong called him "a lot better football player" this spring than he was against Arkansas. Neither Strong nor anyone else knows just how much better Swoopes will be in 2015, but there are plenty of factors to suggest 2015 improvements despite the fits and starts in his development.

I agree with this article. That o-line was a big part of his struggles last year. It may hold him back again if they aren't better. If they are better, it will help Swoopes AND the running game.

That 21 minutes with Watson is intriguing, especially the last 5 minutes or so.

In fact go to the 16 min mark, the question about how much can he (Watson) say "I'm gonna make Tryone, or Heard, the guy that's going to bring back the program where we all want it to be." (something like that).

Then his explanation about it being for the kid(s).

Everyone knows im not a Swoopes fan but I truly hope the kid can come in and have a great season.   I guess we will find out soon.   I just want the team to win or at least be competitive unlike the last 2 games.

I have read so many times about competition is necessary to improve from the coaching staff.  I always found that statement rather odd.  Basically "I wont improve because I want to but rather because I am forced to or I lose my starting role".  Competition is a motivation aspect I get it.  

Competition is a part of sports but when you are the only player at that position and you under perform and the coaching staff makes comments about needing competition at that position, then what is the underlying message?  Swoopes isn't improving because he knows hes the guy and we don't have anyone else? 

Maybe I am missing something else but that isn't a ringing endorsement for any player.

Swoopes should be better for at least one reason and that's because he's a hard worker. Usually any player that has a good work ethic will improve and everything I've read about Swoopes is that he works hard. 

We will know more on how that translate to his performance in a real game on the evening of September 5.
