#21 Texas vs. #17 Okie Lite weekend series

It's in the top of the 3rd.

Okie Lite  got a run in the bottom of the 2nd, but Texas also got a double play on the play after the runner scored as maybe Joeywa can explain it better than I can.

Top of the 3rd. Texas has gotten 4 hits after 2 outs, 3 of which were extra base hits including Guilimette hitting a 2 run homerun and 2 double, and a pop up that the wind cuased to land in fair play to score the 3rd run. 

Texas leads 3-1 middle 3rd.

Texas has a 1, 2, 3 bottom of the 3rd.  It's  3-1 Texas.

Will have to see if Gordon has any issues after having his hand hit by the baseball on the 1st out of the bottom of the inning.

Top of the 4th. Texas hits another 2 run homerun to extend the lead to 5-1.

Cambell is a homerun away from hitting for the cycle in the game. All hits have come with 2 outs.

The Okie Lite pitcher has thrown around 77 pitches.

Gordon only throws 11 pitches in the bottom of the 4th, but one was for a homerun.

5-2. Texas

Thru 7 complete. 5-3 Texas. Gordon goes 7 innings. He is at 97 pitches.

OSU catcher delivered a strike to 2nd.

Shaw came in for Gordon. Nothing doing for either team, as Baron stated above the OSU catcher threw a strike in a strikeout throw out in the top of the 8th.

Gordon went 7 innings- 99 pitches, 3 runs, 5 hits, 4 strikeouts, 1 walk. Will have to double check on the walk count, but it wasn't many.

We win the opener  5-3. Nothing easy with this team though.

5-0 vs TT/ags/Pokes. I felt 3/4 with no sweeps in this 7-game stretch would be a good showing. So far the team is doing much better than that. Still some things to clean up, and we caught a bit of a break vs TT w/Beckel being suspended, but I’ll take it.

Game 2 has started.

Nothing doing for the top of the 1st for Texas.  The OSU pitcher threw 2 wild pitches allowing Powell to get on base while striking out, then getting to 2nd.

Thru 2 complete 1-0 OSU.  Okie Lite gets a run in the bottom of the 2nd, but Texas got a double play to get out of the inning.

We have made the Okie Lite starter look better than he probably is with him going thru 7 innings throwing 112 ? pitches and 12 strikeouts!!! ☹

Thru 8 complete 4-1 Okie Lite.

Will Okie Lite allow their starter to come back out for the 9th? He has thrown 127 pitches giving up only 1 run on 3 hits with 12 strikeouts. Nope. 

Can we do anything in the 9th?

Well this sucks. 4-1 Okie Lite.  Too many strikeouts  13 total I believe.

Will it be LBJ or Charlie Hurley on Sunday at 1PM.
