2018 Texas Baseball Schedule Officially Released

Texas officially announced its 2018 baseball schedule today. The non-conference slate will include a tough non-conference match-ups against Louisiana-Lafayette, @LSU and Stanford. The Longhorns will also host Northwestern for 4 games and New Orleans for 3 games. The Big 12 schedule begins March 23 with a series at Oklahoma State, and ends with two road series against West Virginia and Texas Tech, before the Longhorns return home for the final conference series of the year against TCU.

The yearly mid-week game against Texas A&M will be played in College Station. Texas will also have to travel to Arkansas for a Tuesday-Wednesday match-up against the Razorbacks.

There is little doubt the Longhorns will boast one of the best strength of schedule's in the entire country. David Pierce is tasked with having to replace 5 starters in the lineup and 2 out of 3 in the weekend rotation, but if the Longhorns are playing good baseball early in the year, it is going to be a very good sign.
