2014 Recruiting Rankings

As National Signing Day 2014 approaches I thought it would be a nice idea to keep the team recruiting rankings in front of us. Texas has a number of targets left that are uncommitted and currently the Longhorns are sitting anywhere between #11 and 15 - depending on which ranking index you use.

He is supposed to announce around 8 PM per Burton. "Wickline was there yesterday to meet with the parents while Alex was on his visit to ASU."

I think Anderson was at Arizona State today visiting but Texas looks good.

Looking at Anderson's recruitment, he decommitted from the Sun Devils a week and a half ago and there was talk about him committing to Oklahoma State but that did not happen.

Texas should grab him up tonight like McPhaul said.

Roberson gave us 2 in the Rivals 100.

Alaka is the No. 6 OLB. A key hold. IMO, he will be a very nice pairing with Freeman for this class (btw - who they rank as #12 safety).

Looks like we are currently No. 1 in the Big 12 (Rivals) and no Big 12 team in the top 10.

Really good information. I expect that with the addition of a couple of other recruits that Strong is after the class will be much stronger and might just creep into the top 10.

Beyond the visitors who made it to Austin, the Longhorns also had two high-profile pledges who were on official visits to other schools over the weekend. While Houston (Texas) Cypress Falls linebacker Otaro Alaka had made plans to trip to College Station to see the Aggies for some time, the surprise visit was that of Houston (Texas) Lamar safety to Auburn. Alaka is a serious candidate to decommit from the Horns with another official visit set up to LSU next weekend, but Bonney is expected to maintain his Texas pledge.
