#1 Texas vs Miss State Game Thread

On the Arch scramble, I think it was actually his left forearm that hit the ground first and made him down. I've seen a photo that shows it pretty clearly. Not sure if that is what the replay officials saw.
I saw that too and if that's what they were going by, the ball was clearly past the 1 yard line (more like the 1 inch line) where they ended up marking it. What is confusing is how they came up with the ball being marked at the 1?

In general, it has always been funny to me how marking the football is at times so roughly estimated and at others comes down the half a link of a chain. I am curious to see when we get some sort of technology in place to better mark the football.

I don't think that's happening in my lifetime, especially at the college level. Replay is the best we are going to get for a while.

I don't know how long you've got left but it may not be that far away. Balls and players are already being tracked during games.
