    FIRST CFP RANKINGS

I agree. They're the most well-rounded SEC team it seems. LSU might be second? Going to Baton Rouge in a couple of weeks is a tall task. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

    FIRST CFP RANKINGS

How would you rank these.... Cousin Mike style? In other words, if they played on a neutral field.... I'll give it a shot without much study. 1. LSU 2. BAMA 3. Texas 4. Ole Miss 5. Missery 6. Tennessee

    FIRST CFP RANKINGS

Your takes seem very knowledgeable and reasonable... Until the Texas winning out part. Boy... I hope you're right! My guess is that we lose 2 the remainder of the season. Maybe I'm just protecting my heart refusing to get my hopes up?

GAME WEEK – #10 Texas at #19 Missouri

Our best two players are Simmons and Goosby. That's not controversial, is it? Both have missed the past two games.

GAME WEEK – #10 Texas at #19 Missouri

Speaking of running back... CJ Vogel posted something about Cooper -- after his excellent performance against OU, he has had: 0, 2 and 3 plays in the next three games respectively. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

GAME WEEK – #10 Texas at #19 Missouri

I think he posted this while Sark was at a press conference, answering a question about his playing time. Which one of you young bucks would like to translate this to me, in the King's English?

GAME WEEK – #10 Texas at #19 Missouri

If you take away sacks... Arch would have attempted 5 times this many.

GAME WEEK – #10 Texas at #19 Missouri

I saw Missery play aggy, and I'm not sure "we should win 'easily'" is accurate. Expecially on the road. When all cylinders are firing, this Missery team is very, very good. When you consider your #'s 1-4 above.... if I was forced to bet my house I'm afraid I would take Missery.

Wow... this would be the first time Ole Miss visited Austin in........ 2 months!!!!

*****GAME THREAD: No. 11 Texas Longhorns vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs*****

On Texas Football put out a podcast yesterday with coaches Bryan Erwin and Bob Shipley. It was consistent with what I've heard people like Marcus Myers and Tony Hills say.... They seem befuddled by our offensive line and their inability to pick up twists and stunts that have been a part of...

Isn't his kid a LB at OU as well?

*****GAME THREAD: No. 11 Texas Longhorns vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs*****

I think the over-under for losses the rest of the schedule is 1.5. I'm afraid (gun to head) I take the over. @Missouri and @LSU look like probable losses to me right now. Aggie isn't a sure thing either. I'd love to be proven wrong.

Maybe the RBs formed a union and he overperformed?

*****GAME THREAD: No. 11 Texas Longhorns vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs*****

I started thinking that I'm overly pessimistic about this team.... then I saw this: I'm afraid we lose 2 more games rounding out the season 8-4 after being ranked #1 early in the year. I hope I'm wrong. You can't win with an OL that can't run or pass-block (2nd year in a row). In this age...

GAME WEEK – Miss State at #11 Texas

Okay.... I'm going to suggest we win our two home games (Miss St & Our Kansas). Our post-season dreams depend on us winning two or more of these games: @ Misery @ LSU @ Aggy

GAME WEEK – #7 Ole Miss at #19 Texas

I lived in Caddo Mills (Northeast Texas) and my kids played sports there. They still talk about a track meet in Caddo, where Edwin Simmons and Stanley Richards both ran. I guess the track kind of tilted when those two large humans were running.

GAME WEEK – #7 Ole Miss at #19 Texas

I'm going to throw this out there - and I may be talking out of the wrong orifice. With regard to the "hands team." If the opponent kicks a screaming ground ball at the front line.... there is no rule that you must attempt to field it at the 10 yard mark. Fielding a hot grounder that is a...

GAME WEEK – #7 Ole Miss at #19 Texas

I was at the game. Exciting win. To paraphrase the great Bill Parcels, "you are what you are." This team cannot stand to have a comfortable lead. It's in our DNA. I didn't eat the cheese on Saturday. I expected us to lose the lead, and as you know, wasn't surprised. If you go right down...

GAME WEEK – #7 Ole Miss at #19 Texas

Seeing a 6-3 RB reminded me of Edwin Simmons. The way he strides, etc... For those of us who saw Edwin - pre knee surgery... this is quite a statement.
