Can you say clutch! Payton going opposite field was well worth the wait in the bottom of the 9th. Turned out that awful strike call that would have been ball 4 by the ump did us a favor! Stay classy Augie!

Our half of the 9th begins about the 2:44 mark ...

But note, this highlight really does not show the full drama of the 9th -- it was one of those times when the emotions cranked up with each batter and each pitch, reaching a crescendo here with Payton.  

Bottom of the 9th, trail by 2, 2 outs, bases loaded, 3-2 count .....

(ps -- the LHN is pretty lousy about getting highlites like this out there, and quickly)

He is awfully excitable isn't he? Even my wife gets excited when she hears Craig going nuts during games, and on radio promos. Good times.
