*****GAME THREAD: No. 11 Texas Longhorns vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs*****

Thank you for using the word dominant correctly. And not dominate. Sorry but that misuse of the word drives me crazy.
I agree. I also can't stand the mispronunciation of the word forte (for-TAY is used in reference to music)... but I guess I'm turning into a grumpy old man.:)

After a 31-3 win? lol

Playing without an AA OT and having two OTs playing a different position this week?
Running game is atrocious week after week. Yes moments of success but consistently bad. Pass protection also mostly poor.

Everyone is happy for the W but we should’ve scored 40+ on this type of team given how well our defense was and playing.

Next two games will challenge the hell out of us. It’s very possible we come out of them 0-2. But because how close we play these better teams, 1-1 and 2-0 are also equally likely. Smart coaches with talented players can make it hard for us and I expect that the next two weeks.

This 100%. Coaching changes have to be made.

You do understand that firing your OL coach mid-season just leaves you with no OL coach? Firing him now does not help your season. In fact, it probably hurts your chances at the CFP.

You used the plural sense, so what other coaches are you firing this week?

Yeah, now is not a good time to fire the OL coach, but this off-season is a must. This is a historically bad OL in terms of sacks given up and TFLs. I mean, they fired the DC for a hell of a lot less.

This shit goes back to the UTSA game. Jeff Traylor and staff exposed this OL and every team has followed the same blueprint. Flood is one of, it not the, highest paid asst coaches in College football and he hasn't figured it out in 5 games. He makes way too much money to just rest on his laurels. Let us not forget that last year was a bad OL as well

They need to hire a Special Teams coach and leave Banks as the TE coach. Thats gotta happen, IMO.

Banks time has been split between the two and the results haven't been good. He is our best recruiter though.

I can wait until the offseason. The other coach is Banks.

Kyle Flood makes $1.325 million.

Put this in context, Stacy Searels at UGA makes $750000 and Blazak at Wisconsin makes $600000. Both of them have way better OL play than Texas. That is downright criminal. Anyway we can get Searels to come back to Austin?
