A friday night starter surprises for sure most of us . Will be interesting the pitching staff this weekend. Don't read to much into this as it's the opening weekend. We also have a 2 mid week games and another weekend series before going to Houston. Lot's of moving pitchers around untill to conference games. Haven't seen a batting line-up.

A-Rod had 2 staples put into his injured hand to help him out batting and fielding. A-Rod natural position is as a SS. He claims per his own report that he lost around 20 lbs to be a better fielder at SS.

A few other notes from the press conference om wednesday. The batter's eye is finshed, but the new openings for a cemtral field cameras are there. Also, look likes they have added more stands and standing openings in both left and right field.

Robbins with RBIs so far in his debut for Texas.
Tinney hits 2 run homerun. Being reviewed ? Now a foul ball is called. Robbins back to 2nd. Tinney back to the plate with a 2-2 count. Now Tinney walks.

Pitching change for UC Davis. Texas leads 4-1. Runners on 1st and 2nd.

Livingston walks to load the bases. Borba and J. Duplantier (PH) are outs. Becerra walks. Pack Jr is at bat. Pack Jr. Scores 2 on single. Pack Jr. steals 2nd. Mendoza is up. Mendoza walks to load the bases again. Texas has batted around. A Rod back up. A Rod flies out.

After 5 complete. Texas leads 7-1.

Lead off walk. Wild pitch let's the runner move up to 2nd. Grubbs with a strikeout. Groundout to SS. Runner to 3rd with 2 outs. RBI doible for the 2nd run for UC Davis. Strikeout to end the top of the 7th.

Borba with a lead off double. Duplantier singles. Balk scores Borba. Becerra with a RBI single. Pack Jr. singles. Mendoza ends the game with a 3 run homerun.
