ok, this is getting ridiculous now, Jordan Washington to the portal. Did CDC fire Sark and they're starting over from scratch?

Some of the departures are certainly troubling.

If the media is to be believed, nobody has more NIL then Texas. Hopefully the staff is accurately assessing the value of the current roster, and is not overspending on it. Hopefully once the dust settles we will end up being a big portal winner.

Sprague turned down an offer from Texas that was significantly higher than the one he took at Michigan. So whaddaya do about that?

Per OTF, Texas is going with a reduced roster this year, figuring to cut out waste and increase their portal financial offers. Texas will, by design, go with a roster of 79 to 80 players.

Bo Barnes, for example, hardly ever played. Why pay starter money to someone who has played so little? There's some of that going on elsewhere, too.

He was paid a whole lot to sign out of high school. His projected role next year did not warrant that kind of money... ultimately they couldn't agree on his wage. That's exactly how it was reported on Orangebloods.

Ok, I have had enough. I am officially in the "what in the fuck are we doing camp!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ZERO OL so far yet all of our guys are out the door. Will we have enough OL to field a roster next season? I figured Flood would have gotten the axe before PK which is mind blowing.

Maybe we have decided to trade places with Texas Tech... you know, to see how they have felt all these years. And they us....

Why does it feel like Texas is the one of the only teams trying really hard to play within the NIL rules of engagement and being fiscally responsible? The problem with this is other teams aren't so it's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.

It feels to me like Texas is trying to be "fiscally responsible" but they don't have a clue what the market is. Sark said himself that he would talk to an agent "today" and tell the agent "good luck" when he gave his asking price. Something like "I hope you get it, but it's not going to be here." Well, apparently a whole bunch of our players are thinking they can "get it," and a whole bunch of our targets seem to be getting more than we offer.


Maybe we will finish strong and make us all look like whiney babies. I actually hope that is the case...

I would think we would have been better off taking more development high school players that would take up minimal NIL. Kind of like prefered walk ons but with scholarships.

If injuries decimate a position everybody, especially the Texas hierarchy, needs to remember there is no waiver pool
