aggy thread

All Texas needs to do is take care of their own business. That's it.

I tell you what, Texas needs to open up the wallet a little more this off-season to upgrade positions. Tech and ATM filled glaring holes through the portal and it seems to be working for them. Texas upgraded the DL for sure, but they poorly misjudged their OL and passed on guys.

Texas needs a top tier WR, at least 2 IOL and another LB. I love Lefau and Smith, but a big dropoff with Hill likely going to the NFL.. not sure if Manny tries the NFL or not, but they might need a lockdown CB as well

Sorry, I'm rambling now.

Yeah, we lose Hill, but we gain Atkinson. Push.

Per Bobby Burton, school NIL is capped next year.

Not sure how coach at SC is viewed, but allowing that comeback is unacceptable. Aggy made adjustments. 🤮 SC did not adjust, accordingly. They had them down and let them back up. That is on the coach and his staff. How does that coach sells he is building a championship culture with this year's record and that second half showing?

Just at Texas or NCAA-wide?
The NCAA.
College football teams are subject to NIL limitations in 2026, but the rules are complex, and the main limitations are new roster caps and a cap on direct compensation from schools, which is projected to be around $20.5 million for the 2025-2026 academic year. Third-party deals with collectives are not included in this cap, and there are also new rules regarding scholarships and roster limits that will be in place for the 2025-2026 season.

That was in my post. I just wonder if Sark will have to solicit 3rd party NIL for must have players?
I understand your point. My point is the wild card leaves the bidding wide open. There may be a cap on spending by the schools, but the big cigars can bid on whom the coach wants. What legally prohibits and limits a company for paying a spokesperson any amount they want to pay?

There is more structure. Perhaps it is progress, but did anything really change?

I probably shouldn't post while watching Texas play. I understand your point.
