Picked Baylor

Why does it seem that recruits blow off Texas when the depth chart is deep and theres not immediate playing time, but the typical power names like Oh St, Bama, and UGA dont seem to have that same issue?

The "depth chart is a problem" for so-so recruit seems to be a trendy reason why the kids this cycle arent picking the Horns. Is it just me?

Georgia and OSU routinely have players leave early, creating space in the depth chart.

Texas is in a situation where we didn't lose a lot and won't lose a lot come next year, either.

Our LB room is stacked. Our DL room is stacked. WR is stacked. QB is stacked. RB is in good shape, too. We're talented and deep.

I'm not going to be upset about this one. IMO, he's an OT or DT posing as a TE. My questions always was – why not just teach a DL to play the role, when the role is needed?

I never worry about recruiting during the summer, but even to your point, the current trend feels off. We'll see how things look in November.

Why is Texas so constrained after the House settlement and other teams seem to be throwing around bags of money?

Texas is electing to spend more to keep current roster together. They want less attrition then spending it on unproven high schoolers.

We will see what Deloitte approves and doesn't approve in the coming months but there will be major loopholes around it still. If the money is close Texas will get players over Baylor and Tech.
