SignUp Now!I have to say.....I liked Doomsday I much better. Willy, Lilly, Jethro, and George.....I would take that Defensive line over almost any other. Then they had at LB.....Leroy Jordon, Chuck Howley, DD Lewis...CB was Mel Renfro( maybe the GOAT there) with Cornel Green....and Safety was Harris and Waters and Herb Adderly
Back when the Dallas Cowboys were a class organization. Stopped being a fan when Jerry took over.I have to say.....I liked Doomsday I much better. I have a major regret that I can only give one like to this post. Jerra finally beat all the give a shit outta me....so bad that I haven't even watched an NFL game in 25 years. Do they still play on Sundays?Back when the Dallas Cowboys were a class organization. Stopped being a fan when Jerry took over.
I have a cousin who rodeo with Walt Garrison. He told the story they were at Boston. After the rodeo, he, Walt and several others were at a table having some beers. A guy walked over and asked Walt if he was Walt Garrison. Walt replied yes. The guy said he came over with one purpose: kick his @ss. Walt replied "We don't want to do that. We are having fun here. Why don't you sit down at the table with us and have a beer." The guy refused. Nope, I came over her to whip your @ss. Walt replied, "Ok. Let's get this over with." Walt stood up. The guy looked at how big and bulked Walt was. He replied, "I was joking" and walked away.I got to watch Doomsday 1 and II. Randy White or Bob Lilly ? Mel Renfro was one of a kind. Walt Garrison “if you can’t beat em, cheat em, and if you can beat em, cheat em for practice”
And the cowboys of the 90s with the Tripletts was SO much fun.
And then came Jerry…what a damn shame. Made the team a laughingstock.
Randy White was great, but Bob Lilly was the GOAT. Lilly was usually double teamed on any passing down and often was triple teamed. He would fight through the blockers and at least get pressure on the QB, if not a sack. In the Superbowl V, I remember Lilly catching the Norm Bulaich from behind on a quick pitch. He was just incredible. So, I would be taking Lilly for my fantasy team.I got to watch Doomsday 1 and II. Randy White or Bob Lilly ? Mel Renfro was one of a kind. Bob Lilly's sack of Bob Griese was iconic.Randy White was great, but Bob Lilly was the GOAT. Lilly was usually double teamed on any passing down and often was triple teamed.
