Rumor out there that they had Fisch from Arizona lined up earlier this week, but Bjork started negotiating with Stoops.

The blowback was too much to get the Stoops hire finalized.

Hamilton at IT now wondering if they can find someone by Christmas.

Will they be able to get someone they already passed up?

A&M 247 reporting it is indeed a huge mess with Bjork flying solo and locking people out of negotiations, but he will no longer have that power.

They're starting the process over and everything will be "heavily supervised" going forward.

Bjork sounds like a dead man walking based on the Jimbo contract and now this situation which likely makes it harder to find a solid candidate.

Im not saying Joel Klatt is right or wrong but I think I see where he is going with this
IMO his ranking plays out like this
Michigan runs the table and becomes the number 1 seed
Oregon knocks out Washington and becomes the #2 seed
Texas takes care of business and ends up at #3 because
Alabama knocks out Georgia and goes in as the #4 seed

FSU gets beat by Louisville so they are out anyway

And you know what is even funnier, they don't even know how much of a national joke they are.

Keeping Robinson as HC is a short term fix, like really short in terms of keeping DL recruits and current players. This will not end well and I love it.

Bjork wasn't the one that hired jimbo, but was the one that agreed to the 10 year extension in 2021.

Hiring the football coach at a football school seems like the most significant and important thing that an AD will do. It's mind blowing that he wouldn't read the room and realize that the fans , or powers that be wouldn't rally around the hire.

Aggy is in a tough tough situation with this hire. They are paying 77 million to get rid of jimbo, and they obviously got turned down by all potential splash hires they were hoping for. Now they have an AD that will be viewed by most as on his way out , trying to navigate a mostly impossible coaching hire situation.

I wouldn't be surprised if they stick with Robinson, the current interim, then hire a new AD to try to fix the mess created by Bjork. They may have similar problems finding someone to take the AD job.

This is making for some awesome entertainment.

Most believe Saben turned us down, before we hired Srong, and then Meyers turned us down before we hired Sark(sure glad Meyers didn't come).

Texas is a top tier job, but that doesn't guarantee us always being able to get our first choice.
