It's about the best combination of length and athleticism and shooting that I can remember at Texas. Shaka's teams had the first two in droves, but lacked shooting. Beard's 1.1 team lacked athleticism.

I only counted twelve scholly players and the limit is thirteen. Disu, Abmas, Shedrick and Cunningham all run out of eligibility after this year, so there is room for more.

Our defense was really suspect vs Louisville. We should've blown them out.

I thought the defense (forced 11 TO's, 7 steals and 5 blocks) was pretty good overall. The Horns hitting only 2 of 17 from 3pt land was, IMHO, what kept them in the game.

Abmas was cold in the 2nd half but hit the shot that mattered!

#15 Horns drop their first game of the season to #5 UConn tonight, 81-71. Lots of nice plays by the good guys tonight. Mitchell was a dunk master.

Texas made a run late in the 2nd and drew it to a 4 pt lead, but UConn hit some key shots and Texas had to foul, giving the 10 pt margin.

UConn is really good and really big. We missed a couple of big guys last night and that was the difference. Thought we played much better in this loss than the win on Saturday to be honest.
