Bids from both schools were submitted prior to the regionals. The committee will decide upon the host should A&M win their regional. It will be based on quality of the bid, site advantages, available lodging, and all of the RPI/SOS, seeding, rankings, etc.

Did not expect a regional win this year from the Horns, but I will take it.

Hurley pitched really well, probably stayed a batter or two too long. Morehouse closes the top of the 7th down with back to back strikeouts. Going to bottom of 7th it is 10-6 Texas. Need to scratch a run or two back here 

Great showing by Hurley. Staff probably felt the need to stretch him given our bullpen woes.

Great bounce back weekend for Morehouse who gave 5 solid innings to close out two wins.

Another great coaching performance by Coach Pierce this season. This team had its ups and downs but they've had their two best weekends when it mattered most (WVU sweep and regional sweep). The team is 12-0 over the last 4 regional series. That also means this is the 4th Super Regional in the last 5 years. The previous 3 Supers have all ended up in a trip to Omaha.

tbh, this team has exceeded my expectations. My wife asked me before the weekend about going to Omaha and I told her, "No, we won't make it to the supers. We don't have the relief pitching or the third starter you need to get there." Yet another example she can point to that I was wrong. ?

Completely agree. Thought for sure we’d be in trouble after our top 4 but Morehouse showed some control and didn’t walk many. I’d hate to see our pitching in that 4th game. Thank god we won it in 3!

I'd argue you were right, just ended up being wrong. 

Witt wasn't great as the 3rd starter unfortunately. Do we have 3 relief pitchers? I don't know but we only needed 2.

The 3 game sweep was huge in the regionals and I feel more confident about our pitching staff in a 3 game series (and especially our chances to end it in 2).

2 starters and 2 relivers gives one a good shot. Shaws elbow and can the hrtters keep hitting?

I spent the last 2 weeks in Alaska, which is very beautiful! Thanks to all who keep me updated via your posts in this thread.

Very pleasantly surprised the Horns beat Miami twice to advance. I wasn't able to see any of the games so hoping the LHN will show repeats.

I was watching Stanford vs aggy last night and was conflicted. Wanted aggy to win to help us in the Director's Cup yet wanted aggy to lose because, well they're aggy.

Usually rooting for aggy would be hard, but, since it meant we got to host and beat them in a super regional I think it was an easy call. Plus the director's cup angle, I was not conflicted about it at all.
